    Its “Lend A Hand Event”

    logo_amigosdelverdevalleyHope will shine through as the Amigos del Verde Valley volunteer coalition reaches out to help elderly and disabled residents with yard care and minor exterior home repairs at no cost on Saturday, April 26, 2014

    Cottonwood AZ (February 10, 2014) – The Amigos Del Verde Valley Volunteer Coalition (ADVVC) today announced its “LEND A HAND” April 26, 2014 event. The Amigos Del Verde Valley Volunteer Coalition will provide yard cleanups and minor exterior home repairs for elderly and disadvantaged homeowners in Cottonwood, Cottonwood-Verde Village, and Clarkdale at no cost, focusing on issues that help to make a home cleaner, warmer, healthier and safer. Repairs may include addressing code violations for weed abatement; fixing ramps, including wheel chair ramps, rails and fences; applying exterior paint to homes in disrepair, and weather stripping.

    Elderly or disabled residents who need assistance with their yards or minor exterior repairs can call Sherry at (928) 639-1666 or send a request to amigosverdevalley@gmail.com.

    Registration for this effort will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m., Sat. April 26th, 2014 at the Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 330 Scenic Drive in Clarkdale, rain or shine, and it ends with a free volunteers’ lunch at 12:45 p.m. at the Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church. Handymen, Veterans, Scouts, and community service workers are encouraged to volunteer to earn credit. Fathers and family members, faith organizations, non-profits and businesses are urged to participate.

    Watching the latest debate from end to end once again it appears that the future of the GOP rests upon the shoulders of Vivek Ramasamy. Not sure exactly why but he simply outshines the pack. He has fresh energy and is light on his feet. He’s smart, confident and slick. He has snap. Crackle and Pop. He is young. A successful businessman and fearless. He is like a young Trump apprentice, full of vim and vigor and ready to rumble. Everyone else on the debate stage appeared dull, cranky or lifeless. Halley looked like she was suffering from a terminal case of constipation and badly needs a wardrobe manager. Christie looked like someone who bit into an apple, found a half-eaten worm, and decided to eat it anyway. DeSantis just keeps getting more and more boring; a somnambulist on Percocet.
