    After You Get a Call

After you sign-up at the library, an AARP representative will contact you to set 2 appointments to meet with them at the library. The AARP representative will be setup for these appointments in the library’s 2nd-Floor Founders Room near the fireplace. There will be a sign-in sheet outside the room when you arrive for your appointment. Please sign in when you arrive and wait for your name to be called for assistance.

    Your First Appointment

All forms in the AARP Taxpayer packet and all necessary requested documents must be filled out, signed and brought to the first appointment. A short interview will take place. After the interview is complete the AARP representative will inventory your tax documents and ask you to verify that inventory. You will then be given a reminder of your 2nd appointment time.

    Your Second Appointment

On the date of your second appointment, you will receive an explanation and copy of your tax return. You will sign an IRS form that will allow AARP to electronically file your return, and your tax documents will be returned to you.
