logo_sedonamuseum2Sedona AZ (December 10, 2014) – In celebration of the Christmas season, Michael Peach will give a reading of the Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol at the Sedona Heritage Museum on Sunday December 21 at 3:00 p.m. in the historic (and heated) Fruit Packing Shed.

Encounters with the ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future teach miserly Ebenezer Scrooge what it means to be human in this perennial holiday favorite. Guests will enjoy Peach’s dramatic and inspiring rendition. Refreshments will be served.

photo_michaelpeach6Michael Peach is an award winning actor and playwright who loves history. A long-time fixture at the Museum, he performs a show of his original cowboy poetry and stories the first Saturday of every month.

This one-time special performance and reading is about an hour long and appropriate for all audiences. Each guest is asked to bring some non-perishable food items to be donated to the Sedona Food Bank, or to donate $6 at the door.

Arrive early to do some holiday shopping in the Museum Gift Shop, which specializes in locally made items, movies made in Sedona, and jewelry, books, toys and gifts.

The Sedona Heritage Museum is on the National Register of Historic Places, and located at 735 Jordan Rd. in Jordan Historical Park in Uptown Sedona. For more information, call the museum at 928-282-7038.

What the hell is going on? Is the fabric of society in the U.S. tearing apart at the seams? Watching those videos of teens gone wild, smashing windows, stealing from shopping centers, laughing while running over bicyclists — an omen of things to come? What can be done? Catch them? Incarcerate them. Put them in jails until they learn enough about crime to come out as skilled criminals? These kids, these young men and women of color, are growing wild in the streets. From fatherless homes, unable to properly read or write, a dismal and destitute future ahead of them. What is going to happen when they reach adulthood? The cops can’t stop them. There are simply too many. They can flash mob a phalanx of cops and just run berserk around them. What are the police to do? Shoot them? Read more→
