    MATFORCE Lunch ‘n Learn – Teen Lifeline:
    Teen Suicide and Depression Prevention

    logo_MATForceCottonwood AZ (February 8, 2016) – On February 25th, MATFORCE will host an important community Lunch ‘n Learn addressing teen suicide and depression prevention.

    Teen Lifeline will be conducting this presentation to help parents, teachers, coaches and any adult working with youth learn how to identify signs and intervene to prevent suicide.  Participants will learn risk factors and warning signs for suicide and depression, as well as different coping techniques.  The presentation will also include suggestions on how to appropriately approach youth and discuss issues in a safe manner.

    The panel of presenters includes:  Emily Monson, LMSW, Outreach Specialist for Teen Lifeline; Laura Norman, Chief Development and Communication Officer for West Yavapai Guidance Clinic; Rob Petsche, MS, Children’s Program Director Spectrum Healthcare; and John Schuderer, Chair of the Suicide Prevention Coalition.

    The Lunch ‘n Learn will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Board of Supervisors Room, Yavapai County Administration Building, 1015 S. Fair St. in Prescott and teleconferenced to the Yavapai County Cottonwood Annex, 10 South 6th St. in Cottonwood. It is free and open to the public. Brown-bag lunches are welcome.
