Verde Valley AZ (October 9, 2013) – Homes for our troops recently joined with the communities of the Verde Valley in breaking ground for the construction of a new home for US Marine Sgt Jordan Maynard, his wife Jennifer and their son, Jay in Cornville, AZ. A national non-profit organization, Homes for Our Troops is dedicated to building specially adapted, no-cost homes for severely injured veterans. Only through generous donations and fundraisers, can the organization continue to build these much needed homes. Sgt Maynard was severely injured in Afghanistan on March 23, 2011 and has spent the last two years recovering at the Army’s Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland.
