In the Political Ring with Tommy Acosta: Bombs Snuff Gun Debate

The Boston Massacre of April 15 blew the gun control debate out of the race.

The bill lost its legs in Congress.

No rifle or handgun could match the bang of an IED.

Kids going crazy in schools and killing other kids is one thing.

An explosive device placed where it can do the most damage is another.

There are worse things to worry about.

Like the fertilizer factory detonation in Waco, Texas.

Had the current mass killings been done by a gunman with a Bushmaster, the Second Amendment would cease to exist.

When people want to or must kill there are no rules. There is no limit to what they can use. No government or authority can stop them.

Whether it be with knife, fists, bullets, bombs or fire, killing is killing.

Death is the denominator. Death is what they spit.

As usual, Mr. Acosta defines a problem but offers no solutions. It’s obvious we can’t make people register their pressure cookers but just because a bunch of people got blown up doesn’t mean we should forget gun control. It is kinda interesting though that the bombing occurred just as Congress was ready to vote. Who knows what evil forces were behind that.

Obama says nuts to Congress; he’ll just write an executive order and write his own gun control legislation…

Well, don’t forgot they used guns too (and killed that policeman) and haven’t heard where they were obtained. I see nothing wrong with tightening laws, mandatory home gun lock-ups, background checks on ALL gun sales, gun registration (and insurance) and a national gun registry and magazine limits. Yes, there’ll still be crooked people, but many less, and many less suicides and homicides among family members. If caught with an illegal gun then the book can be thrown at them at least.
