    Teen-made Video Game Testing at Camp Verde Community Library

    Verde Vallley News – Students of ASU’s Center for Innovation in STEM Learning are designing a video game about drought in a futuristic and slightly dystopian desert world. Led by Assistant Research Professor Nicholas Weller, the team is in the stage of testing the game with different audiences and will be conducting two teen-age focus groups in two sessions at Camp Verde Community Library on April 25. Each session will be limited to 12 participants. The first session will be from 12-2:00p, and the second will be from 2:30-4:30p.

    During the playtesting sessions, the game will be available to play on Steam Decks, a portable, handheld gaming console, and three of the teen designers from the team will be present for feedback and to share their experience about the process making the game. The game design program wraps up in May, and the game will likely be available as a free download once finished.
