    Northern Arizona Healthcare Welcomes New Provider to the Cardiovascular Institute in Cottonwood

    Verde Valley News – Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Candace Schuierer, PA-C, has joined the Cardiovascular Institute in Cottonwood at Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC). Schuierer specializes in interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgical perioperative management, cardiovascular critical care and electrophysiology. She is currently accepting new patients.

    “We are so thrilled to have Candace join our talented cardiovascular team in Cottonwood,” said Northern Arizona Healthcare Medical Group President Pasquale Bernardi, MD. “She is a trusted, health care provider who will deliver extraordinary care to her patients. We are excited to continue to honor our commitment to the Verde Valley community by growing our group of specialty providers close to home,” Dr. Bernardi added.

    Schuierer earned an MBA in Healthcare Administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and her physician assistant bachelor’s degree from Pace University’s Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA).

    Candace’s experience in electrophysiology will complement the skillset of another Cardiovascular Institute provider, Rangadham Nagarakanti, MD. Dr. Nagarakanti is a cardiac electrophysiologist, specializing in the study of the heart’s electrical functions. He has been involved in clinical research and development of new therapies for preventing the most common causes of stroke and prevalent heart rhythm problems. Dr. Nagarakanti, Candace and the rest of the cardiovascular team is dedicated to treating each patient’s heart and vascular system.

    The Cardiovascular Institute provides comprehensive heart and vascular services, including noninvasive and minimally invasive diagnostic tests, electrophysiology services, cardiac catheterization and echocardiography labs. In addition, the institute also treats numerous conditions and performs a variety of surgical procedures.
