    Be more prepared for emergencies with this workshop

    Sedona News – The city of Sedona’s Sustainability Department will host the free workshop Ready Sedona: A Resident’s Guide to Emergency Preparedness, on Nov. 6, 2024, at the Sedona Public Library, located at 3250 White Bear Rd. There will be two identical sessions offered: one from noon – 1 p.m. and another from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

    This workshop will discuss important information on helping residents be prepared for emergencies, including knowing your zones, signing up for alert systems, knowing about preventative steps to protect homes, having an emergency preparedness kit and plan, and even having a plan for animals.

    No RSVP is needed, and light refreshments will be served. This event is in partnership with the Sedona Police Department, Sedona Fire District, Yavapai County and Coconino County, with presentations planned from each organization.
