Verde Valley News – The Camp Verde Community Library is excited to announce a new series of educational and fun-filled events in collaboration with the Science Vortex. The “All About Water” Children’s STEAM Series is set to engage young minds with a variety of hands-on activities focused on the fascinating world of water. This series is designed for children aged 7 to 12 and will take place every Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the library.

The series kicks off on Tuesday, August 13th with “Water Olympics.” Young participants will explore the unique properties of water through a series of engaging stations that make learning about water fun and interactive.

On Tuesday, August 20th, children will dive into the science of Earth’s water with activities including creating a take-home model of water sources, competing in a water cycle relay race, and crafting a “cloud in a bottle.”

The excitement continues on Tuesday, August 27th with the creation of a watershed model and watercolor artwork, blending creativity with environmental education.

The series wraps up on Tuesday, September 3rd with crafting cloud mobiles and shrinky dink cloud keychains, providing a creative way to learn about clouds and weather patterns.

The All About Water Children’s STEAM Series promises to be an enriching experience that will inspire curiosity and a love for learning in young participants. Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children in advance to secure a spot in these educational workshops.
