    Prescott’s 4th Friday Art Walk: A Celebration of Art and Innovation

    On the 4th Friday of every month 16 Prescott galleries keep their doors open for early evening signature events, exhibits, and artist receptions

    Prescott News – Discover the creative spirit of Prescott at the 4th Friday Art Walk on August 23, 2024. This much-anticipated monthly event highlights the area’s artistic diversity and innovation as over 16 galleries extend their hours and open their doors to celebrate the arts.

    Since its beginning in 2004, Prescott’s 4th Friday Art Walk is the night to get out and experience Prescott’s visual arts scene. Every month features signature events and exhibits produced by the galleries. The galleries are open during their regular business hours and the evening events begin at 5:00 PM. Gallery guides can be picked up at any of the participating gallery locations, hotel brochure racks, and the Prescott Chamber of Commerce.

    A collective of 25 working studios and a central gallery located in downtown Prescott. Featuring a variety of art mediums and working spaces for local artists, The Art Hive will feature three accomplished fiber artists in the Main Gallery this August. The exhibition will weave together Annie Alexander’s larger-than-life-size handmade paper with Diane Gilbert’s mesmerizing metal string and fibers entangled with paper and air to create an installation in the Main Gallery. The works of Joy Herhold and Laurie Silver will adorn the walls with the textures of sewn cloth and paper in exotic tapestries as well as in crafted handmade books and journals. Live music and individual art studios will be open with light refreshments served.

    The working studio of trans-dimensional artist Annie Alexander, featuring handmade paper and fiber creations inspired by the grace, variety, and texture of the natural world.
