Sedona AZ (December 28, 2015) – The city of Sedona will again be offering an environmentally friendly method of recycling Christmas trees. Beginning the last week of December 2015 through Jan. 29, 2016 the city will be accepting Christmas trees for recycling at 1259 W. State Route 89A, the vacant lot at the intersection of State Route 89A and Saddlerock Circle.
Trees dropped off for recycling must be free of lights, tinsel, ornaments, nails, stands, and plastic wrapping. Please no yard debris. The trees will be offered to the U.S. Forest Service to be used as erosion control in the National Forest. Any remaining trees will be mulched and made available to the community to be re-purposed as mulch, on a first come first serve basis.
