Yavapai County Sheriff's OfficePrescott AZ (September 21, 2020) – Methamphetamine is a highly addictive stimulant that affects the central nervous system and creates physical and psychological dependence.  Arizona is now experiencing a marked increase in the number of dealers and users of the dangerous product.  Federal, state and local law enforcement saw a 342% increase in the methamphetamine seizures from FY 2015-FY 2019.  In 2019, most of the overdose deaths in Maricopa and Pima counties (670) were due to methamphetamine. 20200921_methOne overdose fatality is too many!  In acknowledgement of the threat methamphetamine poses to our county, the Yavapai Silent Witness Board wants the public to know there is now a $400 minimum cash reward available to individuals who provide information leading to the arrest of methamphetamine dealers.  We emphasize that is a minimum amount.  Depending on the magnitude of the case, the reward could be substantially higher.  Our goal is in line with law enforcement’s desire to diminish this drug’s hold on our community and reduce the myriad of crimes associated with its sale and use.

Are we merely meat; flesh and blood creations encapsulating what we believe is a soul? Or is a single life the microcosm and macrocosm of human life on earth, each one of us a unique representation of who we believe we are and the whole of humanity at once? We are born. We grow old. We die. Everything we experience is but a dream between those two points. Or are we manifestations of a Divine Creator, every one of us complete in the image that we were made? So, we are told.
