Sedona News – To learn about and celebrate the sustainable management of freshwater resources, the city of Sedona, Oak Creek Watershed Council, and Arizona Water Company invite the public to the second annual World Water Day celebration event on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Slide Rock State Park at 6871 N Hwy 89a, Sedona, Arizona, 86336.
Through hands-on activities, the public is encouraged to participate in a macroinvertebrate survey in the Oak Creek, learn how water moves underground and discover how stormwater flows through Sedona. Upon completing at least three event activities, participants will be entered to win a special prize. This year, the event will have a food truck on-site for anyone to purchase a meal during the event hours.
Park entry fees apply, so build us into a day of swimming and fun at Slide Rock with family or friends!
For those that plan to participate in the macroinvertebrate survey, please visit this link to register before the event as spots are limited.
