    Water line repairs require portable facilities this week
    at Sunset Point

    Restrooms closed April 1-3, with portable toilets, handwashing available

    Arizona Department of TransporationPhoenix AZ (March 30, 2020) – Urgently needed repairs to the main water line at the Interstate 17 Sunset Point Rest Area will close the restrooms Wednesday, April 1, through Friday, April 3, with portable toilets and a handwashing station available during the work, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. 

    The rest area, located between Black Canyon City and Cordes Junction, will remain open during the repairs.

    On Wednesday, April 1, water will be shut off to the rest area, and work will begin on the 3-inch water line. Repairs are expected to wrap up with restrooms reopened on Friday, April 3.
