SEDONA, Ariz. – The city of Sedona invites the public to a live pastel demonstration of current solo City Hall art exhibitionist and award-winning artist Christine Debrosky for the Meet the Artist event on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers, located at 102 Roadrunner Dr.

At the core of Debrosky’s work is the timeless dance of sunlight and shadow. Her work has been described as both tranquil and stirring. Her 35-painting exhibition at City Hall is a celebration of Sedona and the Verde Valley famed landscapes in every season from dawn to dusk. With subjects ranging from sublime desertscapes and iconic red rock cliffs, to spires of sun splashed off-the-beaten-path corners, her inspired vision is sure to delight viewers.

Having relocated to Arizona from New York state, Debrosky was enthralled with the azure skies, the striking textures and silhouettes, and the sherbet earth colors of the high desert. Setting out to capture the glory of nature in vivid pigment, she has worked extensively in plein air, as well as in the studio on larger pieces. Her work has been exhibited across the United States in numerous galleries, museums and invitational venues, as well as in Italy and France. She has been featured in many national magazines and books such as: SouthWest Art, PleinAir Magazine and the French publication, Pratiques des Artes. She was also featured this past December in Sedona Monthly’s Open Portfolio.

Private viewings are available by appointment only. To schedule an appointment or for more information on the City Hall Art Rotation Program or the Meet the Artist Event, please contact Lattanzi at 928-203-5078 or NLattanzi@SedonaAZ.gov.
