Northern Arizona’s Premier Wine, Food, Music and Cultural Event Teams with Stout Tent to Give Wine-Lovers the Ultimate Sip, Savor and Stay Package

logo_verdevalleywinefestivalClarkdale AZ (April 5, 2019) – The Verde Valley Wine Festival today announced the launch of “River and Wine Weekend,” a new lodging option for Festival ticketholders that offers a high-end “glamping” experience along the banks of the Verde River in Clarkdale. Festival sponsor Stout Tents is curating the two-day glamping experience, providing high-end tents with all the creature comforts of home. The campsite, located at Lower Tapco on the Verde River, is just minutes from the Clarkdale Town Park, where the Verde Valley Wine Festival is located. “Glampers” will have the opportunity to stay on two nights: Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11.

20190405_glamping“Each year since the Festival was founded in 2016, the number of attendees has grown, driving the need for more lodging options,” said David Baird, Verde Valley Wine Festival Director. “Many of our ticketholders travel from Southern Arizona and some come from as far as the U.K. and Australia. Accommodations in the greater Cottonwood-Clarkdale-Jerome area are limited, so we decided to try a new approach for this year’s Festival, in keeping with our ‘local’ theme. The Verde River is the lifeline for the vineyards in the Verde Valley. With this Glamping experience, guests have a chance to be a part of the ecosystem that drives the winemaking industry here.”

Baird turned to Festival Grand Sponsor Stout Tent, a Phoenix-based glamping company, for help. Stout Tent is a leader in the Arizona glamping industry, delivering curated, high-end outdoor experiences. For festival-goers who are in town for the weekend of the Wine Festival, Stout Tent will provide a total glamping tent experience in the beautiful riparian environment of Clarkdale, just steps from the Verde River. Guests will enjoy the sound of flowing water, wildlife, and dark skies as they take in all that nature has to offer. The tents will already be set up and ready for guests’ arrival, and each tent comes furnished with all the comforts of home, including a real bed, luxury linens, and more. Camping equipment is not required, but guests will need to provide their own food and beverages. Guests will share a full bathroom with hot and cold running water and flushable toilets.

    What Would I Change?
    By Amaya Gayle Gregory

What would I change if I could? You and I both know I can’t, but it’s a fun exercise anyway. I would have been less of a know-it-all on my spiritual journey. It seems to be a side-effect of the path. Spiritual folks develop an all-knowing buffer to protect against their inevitable surrender to the unknown, but understanding that now didn’t make it gentler on me or those I loved, let alone those that I deemed not capable of getting it 😉 Yeah … I’d have dropped the spiritual snob act. I’d have recognized that spiritual radicals are only different on the outside from radical right Christians, and that the surface doesn’t really matter as much as I thought. We are all doing our couldn’t be otherwise things, playing our perfect roles. I’d have learned to bow down humbly before my fellow man, regardless of whether I agreed with him or not. We’re all in this together and not one of us will get out alive. Read more→
