… It was a beautiful day on Lake Pleasant and with a goodly amount of cloud cover, the lighting was soft, and an abundance of wildlife today kept the shutters firing and memory cards filling up. I got lots of photos of a pair of bald eagles in flight, but this one of him perched on a tree trunk coming up from the lake and looking right at me fit the mood … and he was politely asking us to leave so he could continue with his quest for food. The land mass behind him is an island about a half mile from shore and the Bradshaw Mountains are rising behind the island.
A little while later a coyote was repeating the request to leave as he was hunting for food too … when we did not leave, he did, and this was a look back at us expressing his disappointment with our manners or lack thereof.
We also got wonderful shots of Osprey, egrets, herons, grebes and more … and nearly five hours on the lake taking in all the beauty … life is grand!
Into the weekend for me and the plan is to be back Monday morning with who knows what? Have beautiful days and fill them with joy … a choice we make each day.
With joy and smiles,
Ted
I bring but this one common thought
My life has wrought;
That from the dregs of drear despair
Still everywhere
There is a joy I yet may sip—
‘Tis comradeship
With all mankind, the high and low—
I know.
