… another shot from a recent flight up and over the Painted Desert. I frequently fly up there to shoot the beautiful formations and landscape and mostly have been shooting them for my personal pleasure. The Painted Desert encompasses an area of about 7,500 square miles and on the eastern end of it the Petrified National Forest is contained within it. You can learn more about it at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Painted_Desert_(Arizona) . I took this shot a couple of weeks ago, but the meta data will say it was shot 12/31/1999. This occurred because Adobe Bridge/ACR was not compatible with the raw format generated by the Canon 5D MK IV when I bought it.

Look for more of these abstract shots of earth’s surface as I truly love the patterns and colors. In 1999 I was flying pure glider and trips north from Turf Soaring in Peoria were mostly to the South Rim. It rained again today … that was okay because I didn’t wrap the day until 4:30A and One woke me at 7A … oh well. A very good day though.

A very cool website to spend some time on is http://gatewaytosedona.com and in the current iteration they have an excellent article on Sycamore Canyon at: . This is another place I enjoy spending time in and over and the article includes a number of my photographs … check it out.

Also visit https://sedona.biz ; they have been publishing my missives and photos daily for years’ now and they have a great website of everything Sedona too. Also have to mention the Verde Independent blogsite which also features my blog and they are at: and on the main site great news coverage of the Verde Valley.

Rain scheduled again for today (now Thursday) so flying is iffy … maybe I’ll get a few hour window and if not there is plenty of other things to do. Have a terrific day, keep breathing and share the joy in your life with others … most people are really good and it helps to remember that.

    Cheers

    Whack – A – Mole War

It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
