… photography is featured tonight and the subject of the portrait is none other than my remarkably vivacious and photogenic ruler of 40 Vaquero Circle … the one and only One. I took this shot a few days ago whilst out on the deck enjoying the beauty of the day. One decided to strike a few poses and allowed me to get down to her level to do the shoot. Lighting and everything was simply perfect and yes she approves of this photograph!

Today was a delightfully quiet day mostly spent doing some long delayed chores … many others were again relegated to the long and growing list of things that will never be finished and the truth is, that that is okay. I dismantled a secretarial style chair in an effort to adjust the level of the seat … I re-assembled it without fixing the underlying problem. It’s okay though, I don’t have to sit on it, only guests who come back into my office … I may (the operative word being “may”) decide to take another run at it. Just thought of something that will fix it. I found a screw that does not belong there and think I may have put it in for Corky, to fix the adjustment in the California Law Office … yeah, that one has been around for a while.

Having a fun read of a book one of my law school classmates wrote … actually I bought all of his books and he writes with a nice flowing style and tells a good story. This book is “Passing Through,” by Robert Phillip DesJardins. You can buy it on Amazon, along with his other books which are also well worth a read. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=robert+desjardins&rh=n%3A283155%2Ck%3Arobert+desjardins Check them out and also available in Kindle format.

No great wisdom to share … just enjoy where you are in life and if you do not, then make the changes necessary to be where you want to be … only you can create the world you want to live in.

    Smile …

    The Symbolism of Jan. 6

    By Tommy Acosta
Don’t mess with symbols. Just ask author Dan Brown’s character Robert Landon. The worth of symbols cannot be measured. Symbols make the world-go-round. Symbols carry the weight of a thousand words and meanings. Symbols represent reality boiled down to the bone. Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
