… the beautiful areas … the confluence of the Little Colorado River and the Colorado River. I took this shot the end of May this year and it captures the last few miles of the beautiful Little Colorado River before it merges with the deep green water of the Colorado River. With the rain we have been enjoying, the same photograph today would show a milk chocolate color instead of the beautiful turquoise color in this image. The water flow in this photo is all from Blue Springs and is about 210 cubic feet per second and the Colorado River is running close to 25,000 cubic feet per second.

Above the river on the left is Cape Solitude and across the canyon is the point where the Escalade project was supposed to go and it would have a tramway down to the river at the confluence … currently the project has been stopped through the efforts of Grand Canyon Trust among other groups. Likely the project will never completely go away and they will have the patience to keep trying and looking for politicians to help them get it through … vigilance is required!
Rain today, lots of it! Yay! Clean air for a while!
Fun weekend behind me and a great week underway. Have a beautiful day and smile; I’m anticipating waking later this morning and getting the day started with a bunch of espresso. The new coffee mugs that the Sedona Airport is selling (you should get one or ten) is large enough to take eight shots of espresso and still have room for a fair amount of milk froth! One cup of that will get your day sailing, flying or whatever … smiles.
Share your joy of being here to live today … pretty cool, this breathing and living thing.
Cheers
Ted
Give me to gladly go
My way and say
No word of mine own woe;
But let me smile each day
