… Katie has finally decided to take control and learn to fly jets … I got this shot of her after landing her Lear Jet a little long on R3 at KSEZ and taxiing back to the main ramp at A6 … in back of her and at about 500′ AGL the V-22 Osprey is coming in for a landing on R21 … no doubt many more flights and planes for Katie to come in the future.
A friend referred me to a longtime favorite book of many people called Stick and Rudder an explanation of the art of flying. It is on Amazon and worth a look.
The Black Hawk below is simply one of my all-time favorite shots… a large hawk found primarily along riparian areas. Never get tired of those raptors and this shot!
Saturday at 4PM I will be doing my show at the Mary Fisher Theater in West Sedona … in addition to my photography and narration, Michele will have Enedina a Saker Falcon and Lennox her new American Kestrel with her … and perhaps Leroy the Harris’s Hawk will join in. Photos of the birds tomorrow night.
Have a beautiful day … we are here and blessed! Share the joy you find in each day.
Cheers,
Ted
O sweet content! where is thy mild abode
Where I may dwell in endless peace?
Show me the much-sought road
And give the lease.
The answer came. “Then cease to vainly roam
In search of me, for thou wilt find
My quiet, hidden home
Within thy mind.”
