… so wrote a friend this morning, likely because I have sent out so many aerial shots this week … another one is below. I wrote my friend back, that although it may seem so, the truth is I do not miss it. What I am doing is going back over more than ten thousand aerial shots that I have not even looked at yet and while so doing, I am enjoying each flight all over again, because I loved every moment that I spent in the air … more than 3,000 hours over a little more than 23 years.

Spending time uncovering the treasures I got while flying is a joy and flood the mind with beautiful thoughts and I am finding shots that are simply exquisite! About fourteen months since I have been in the air, but I have several years of going through the portfolio ahead of me … savoring each and every flight and remembering what was going on … and sharing them.

The shot above is from the top end of Long Canyon looking roughly to the SSW. Somewhere along the heavily canyoned west side of the canyon is the Secret Mountain Wilderness area and on the left center side of the image is Seven Canyons Golf Course … a very beautiful and fun course to play. Enchantment Resort is tucked away in Boynton Canyon down near the end of the rim. Casner Mountain is on the right side of the long low cloud formation and the other side of it Is Sycamore Canyon. I love the muted lighting … a forever feeling and sensation.

Below is a shot I took when me, my daughter, son in law and grand daughter were driving down coast highway from Half Moon Bay to Monterey for the day. We pulled over at this place by the road and had some corn and fresh lemonade … and it was good, butter dripping, finger licking good. The gentleman who had the stand was obviously loving his little business and I think the food was probably even better because of his smiles and friendly attitude. People are amazing and there are so many of them who thoroughly enjoy life and their fellow man.

Have a beautiful day … we are so blessed. Keep breathing, smiling and sharing the joy you find in life … perhaps once again it will be universal.
