    … the inner world surrounded by beauty … first though you need to stop … then gaze into the depths of that beautiful flower that presents itself to you each day … time to stop and peer inside instead of walking by. This Iris could be in a country garden or on a window sill in Watts. Flowers are everywhere and instead of just glancing at a  bloom or bunch of blooms take a few minutes to get acquainted with them and marvel at the intricate patterns and functional complexities in them.

    A busy day with most of the morning and early afternoon on a ladder patching stucco and tomorrow I will seal coat the patches. My new ten foot step ladder also arrives tomorrow so I can go higher; tried my 16 foot extension ladder out this morning too, but do not feel very comfortable on it. Probably need to hire someone to do the highest reaches for me.  It is going to be nice to have this project done. The afternoon was spent looking at vehicles and then a quiet evening at home.

    Back on the ladders in the morning and the end is in sight … I may sell paint brushes when done :+)

    Hope your day was beautiful … share you joy and a few smiles too.

    Give me a few friends who will love me for what I am;
    and keep ever burning before my vagrant steps the kindly light of hope.
    And though age and infirmity overtake me,  and I come not within
    sight of the castle of my dreams, teach me still to be thankful for life;
    and for time’s olden memories that are good and sweet; and may
    the evenings twilight find me gentle still.

    Does it Really Matter?

    Does it matter if life is illusory or real, if this a material world like most everyone thinks or a dream? It looks and feels real, it offers sensations and feelings that attest to its realness.
