… I received quite a few replies today complimenting me on my fine food choices, but then I received a few who thought my food choices needed massive enhancements and I was setting a bad example … I think I need a safe space … perhaps counseling or therapy … or perhaps just continue to live knowing that they are just jealous of my freedom from the need to conform to PC food choices. Actually it was all tongue in cheek spoofing and really funny and yes I do eat mostly … well, frequently, good food … chocolate just happens to contain vitamin Ch and is my favorite food.

I took this shot in early October somewhere between the SF Peaks and Kendrick Peak. A fire came through the area decades ago and left a pole forest and strong winds and storms later laid a lot of the poles down on the ground. A couple small groves of Aspen remain and it must be that the vagaries of the winds and fire spared these groves. A ranch is above the peak just right of center. Anyhow I like the shot and hope you do too.

A wrap for the day … flying in about 8 hours, a rest and then another late afternoon flight to see if I can get a super sunset behind Mingus.

Cheers … keep breathing, it really helps make for a terrific day.

If ever there is a tomorrow when we’re not together … there is something you must always remember, you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart, I’ll always be with you.

    If I Were Curtis Sliwa
    By Tommy Acosta

One of my guilty little pleasures is imagining what I would do if I was in someone else’s shoes, especially politicians. In this essay I would love to jump into the shoes of Curtis Sliwa, a former New York City vigilante who founded the Guardian Angels and is now running as a Republican for mayor of his city.
