    By Ted Grussing

… thousands of years ago, perhaps, humans and other species of earth gazed out over this beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean dreaming of what might be … eighty years or so ago encampments were built into these cliffs for observers to look for enemy ships that might invade our homeland … and today we freely roam this area, but still in awe of the beauty of nature and the vastness of the sea. The powerful waves crashing on the rocks below fill the air with moisture and an ambient sound level that drowns out conversation … a solitary place where life is determined by those who seek out the vast openness of nothing, yet everything of importance.

if to embrace one I love
