To the Residents of Sedona,

Sedona, Az — I am immensely proud to be a resident of Sedona. What an amazing election race this has been..Together, along with the Residents First Slate, we made this an exceptionally close contest and demonstrated the real power of community involvement. The residents of Sedona are clearly seeing what has been going on behind closed doors and are ready for meaningful change. Moving forward, my hope is to see even higher voter turnout in future elections—let’s ensure our collective voice is never muted due to low participation.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the residents who poured their time, generosity, and endless efforts into supporting the Residents First Slate. Your dedication to getting our message out to every resident was nothing short of extraordinary.

To my slate running mates—Lita Boyd, Rich Gay, and Jean-Christophe Buillet—you are three deeply inspiring individuals. You were all outstanding throughout this campaign. Together, we shone a light on what has been occurring in city hall for years and exposed critical lapses in judgment by the city council on key issues. Major questions remain unanswered. During this election cycle, the Residents First team exposed the status-quo  DORR political machine and its long-standing champions. With newly elected council member Jean-Christophe Buillet, we hope to see an end to automatic 7–0 unanimous votes on the council

It is time for the council to ask the tough, essential questions before spending taxpayer dollars on any major capital project:

1. Is this project a true need, or merely a want?
2. How will this directly benefit the residents and the city of Sedona?

Even if future votes shift to 6–1 or 5–2, changing the current trajectory of the city will require persistent effort. I will remain actively engaged and continue to monitor the actions of the council members and the newly elected mayor to ensure that residents always come first.

Real change will not happen without everyone staying involved. You can help by attending city council meetings, asking tough questions, and making your voices heard. Together, we can hold the council and city management accountable.
