    Tlaquepaque to Host 2nd Annual Flamenco Festival This Weekend

    Sedona, AZ — Attention Flamenco lovers! Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village in Sedona is hosting its Second Annual Spectacular Flamenco Festival this weekend, Sunday, September 3, from 5 to 8:30 p.m., in the beautiful and intimate Patio de Las Campañas of Tlaquepaque.

    The show will feature some of the top Flamenco performers and dancers in Northern Arizona, dancing and performing with the kind of passion only Flamenco can arouse.

    The starts with Bolero Flamenco followed by a Flamenco dance extravaganza featuring Yumi La Rosa and Carlos Montufar.

    They will be accompanied by the renowned guitarist, Misael Barraza-Diaz and joined by master Flamenco performing artist Gaetano (singer) and Max Perrault (flautist).

    The performance will be filled with passion, energy, fiery gypsy spirit and staccato footwork. The performers are true professionals and are bound to make the evening memorable, if not unforgettable.

    A Bad Moon Rising

    What the hell is going on? Is the fabric of society in the U.S. tearing apart at the seams? Watching those videos of teens gone wild, smashing windows, stealing from shopping centers, laughing while running over bicyclists — an omen of things to come? What can be done? Catch them? Incarcerate them. Put them in jails until they learn enough about crime to come out as skilled criminals? These kids, these young men and women of color, are growing wild in the streets. From fatherless homes, unable to properly read or write, a dismal and destitute future ahead of them. What is going to happen when they reach adulthood? The cops can’t stop them. There are simply too many. They can flash mob a phalanx of cops and just run berserk around them. What are the police to do? Shoot them? Read more→
