Sedona, AZ — FutureView Multimedia, in partnership with the Sedona International Film Festival, present the Tech Savvy for Seniors workshop on Saturday, June 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

Designed with 55+ adults in mind, this particular 90-minute workshop will focus on the basic settings on Apple iPhones of the last 5 years, and will share with participants valuable, confidence-building skills for everyday use.

“I recently saw a headline stating that “A.I. will soon pass seniors”. I don’t believe that. No matter what age you are, you can benefit from learning something about computer technology. We enjoy teaching people about the future of tech now. So let’s Tech about it at our workshop!” said Dawn Cobalt, owner of FutureView Multimedia and the Tech Savvy for Seniors series.

Seating is limited to 99 attendees. Participants should bring an Apple iPhone (model year 2020 or newer preferred) plus note-taking materials.

“We are so excited to be hosting Tech Savvy for Seniors here at the theatre. This series is exactly the kind of thing this theatre was built for: to have informative, enlightening and innovative programs for our community. Dawn and Marie have so much experience in the tech world. They bring so much expertise in many areas, and they have a remarkable and enjoyable way of teaching that makes it easy to understand. This program is an incredible opportunity for seniors — or really people of ANY age — to fully embrace the digital and technical world. They will make you feel like a pro in no time! We are very proud to offer this to our residents as part of our educational outreach.” said Patrick Schweiss, Executive Director of the Sedona International Film Festival, Mary D. Fisher and Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatres.

Tickets are $30 in advance; $35 at the door. To order by phone, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information and to order tickets online, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.

There is a movement happening in the A.I. universe that few are talking about but soon almost everyone that uses it, will. People are moving beyond using their A.I. as tools for research, writing, editing, etc. and are now beginning to use their A.I.s for other things, like advice, conversation and even counseling.
