US National Forest ServiceSedona AZ (August 31, 2021) – A single tree on fire one mile east of downtown Sedona and just north of Schnebly Hill Road is producing smoke that will be noticeable to those in the area.

Named the Bear Fire, this single tree fire is no threat to any community and consists of one juniper tree smoldering, with no threat of spreading. With storms predicted, firefighters will monitor this fire which will smolder throughout the day and eventually extinguish.
