Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival is taking its show on the road with its new “Movies on the Move” mobile movie truck and outdoor film experience … to The Village!
The next event of the summer will be Tuesday, Aug. 6 at The Collective in the Village of Oak Creek, featuring the blockbuster big screen hit “Wonka”. Showtime will be at dusk (approximately 7:45-8:00 p.m.).
Bring your lawn chairs and your family and friends and enjoy “Cinema Under the Stars” on the festival’s giant outdoor screen with state-of-the-art projection and sound! The festival’s mobile concession stand will have movie treats available.
Based on the extraordinary character at the center of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl’s most iconic children’s book and one of the best-selling children’s books of all time, “Wonka” tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.
“Wonka” is an intoxicating mix of magic and music, mayhem and emotion, all told with fabulous heart and humor. Starring Timothée Chalamet in the title role, this irresistibly vivid and inventive big screen spectacle will introduce audiences to a young Willy Wonka, chock-full of ideas and determined to change the world one delectable bite at a time — proving that the best things in life begin with a dream, and if you’re lucky enough to meet Willy Wonka, anything is possible.
“Wonka” will be shown outdoors at The Collective (7000 State Route 179 in the Village of Oak Creek) on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at The Collective.
Tickets are only $7 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.
