Film Festival theaters join cinemas around the world for global theatrical event

Sedona, AZ — The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to join theaters around the world for a global theatrical event: “Othello”, showing March 8 and 12 at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre.

Shakespeare’s “Othello” rages to life like never before in a compelling new production starring David Harewood, Toby Jones, Caitlin FitzGerald, Vinette Robinson and Luke Treadaway.

Directed by Tony Award-winner Tom Morris with music by PJ Harvey, this epic story of manipulation, jealousy and toxic masculinity explores the darker side of power, rage and desire. Filmed live at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London especially for the big screen, this is an electrifying star-studded Othello.

“Othello” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Sunday, March 8 at 2:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $15 general admission, or $13 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona.  For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
