Sedona AZ (October 18, 2018) – The Sedona International Film Festival is turning 25 this year, and to celebrate, we are rolling back the clock and bringing encore screenings of hit films from 25 years ago to the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on the 25th of each month! And better yet … we are rolling back the tickets to the admission price of 25 years ago for these special events: just $4.25 each!

This special year-long celebration continues with the anniversary screening of “Legends of the Fall” on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 4 and 7 p.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

“This is our way of celebrating our 25th Anniversary Season all year long and a way for us to say THANK YOU to this community for supporting our festival for 25 years,” said executive director Patrick Schweiss.

“Legends of the Fall” won an Academy Award for Best Cinematography and was nominated for two other Oscars for Best Sound and Best Art Direction. It was also nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, including Best Picture (Drama), Best Director (Edward Zwick), Best Actor (Brad Pitt) and Best Original Score (James Horner).

Experience “Legends of the Fall” again or for the first time with a new digital restoration and enhanced picture and sound.

In early 20th-century Montana, Col. William Ludlow (Anthony Hopkins) lives in the wilderness with his sons, Tristan (Brad Pitt), Alfred (Aidan Quinn) and Samuel (Henry Thomas). Eventually, the unconventional but close-knit family encounters tragedy when Samuel is killed in World War I. Tristan and Alfred survive their tours of duty, but, soon after they return home, both men fall for Samuel’s gorgeous fiancée, Susannah (Julia Ormond), and their intense rivalry begins to destroy the family.

The 25th Anniversary screenings of “Legends of the Fall” are sponsored by the Goldenstein Gallery with additional support from the City of Sedona.

“Legends of the Fall” — the 25th Anniversary Celebration — will show at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 4 and 7 p.m. Tickets are rolled back to the price of 25 years ago: only $4.25 each. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.

    One Bullet Away

There’s a storm cloud coiling over America, and most don’t see it yet. But it’s there. Dark. Imminent. Unavoidable. Call it fate, call it consequence—but don’t call it fiction. The divide is real. And it’s calcifying by the hour.
