Colin Firth and Rachel Weisz star in critically-acclaimed film at Fisher Theatre
Sedona AZ (November 26, 2018) – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premiere of the critically-acclaimed new film “The Mercy” Nov. 30-Dec. 5 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.
Academy Award winners Colin Firth and Rachel Weisz star in the award-winning new film “The Mercy.” The Sedona premiere will feature a recorded Q&A with Firth and Weisz showing after every screening.
Following his Academy Award-nominated film “The Theory of Everything”, James Marsh directs the incredible true story of Donald Crowhurst (Colin Firth), an amateur sailor who competed in the 1968 Sunday Times Golden Globe Race in the hope of becoming the first person in history to single-handedly circumnavigate the globe without stopping.
With an unfinished boat and his business and house on the line, Donald leaves his wife, Clare (Rachel Weisz) and their children behind, hesitantly embarking on an adventure on his boat the Teignmouth Electron.
This exclusive event features a roundtable discussion with Colin Firth, Rachel Weisz and Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, as well as a Q&A with the stars.
“The Mercy” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre Nov. 30-Dec. 5. Showtimes will be 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Monday, Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and 3; and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 2, 4 and 5.
