“”The Convert”” is an historical epic exploring questions of faith, transformation, and the nature of violence. A visceral cinema-going experience, ambitious in scope and action, the film is also one of the most authentic and exciting depictions of pre-colonial Aotearoa New Zealand and Māori culture ever portrayed on screen.

“”The Convert”” will be shown at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre July 26-Aug. 1. Showtimes will be Friday, Sunday and Monday, July 26, 28 and 29 at 6:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 27, 30, 31 and Aug. 1 at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets are $12, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.

    Whack – A – Mole War

We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
