    Plan for lane restrictions on SR 89A between Sedona and Flagstaff Sept. 7-10

    Arizona Department of TransporationSedona AZ (September 5, 2021) – The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising motorists to plan for delays due to daytime lane restrictions on State Route 89A between Sedona and Flagstaff starting Tuesday, Sept. 7.

    Drivers should slow down, proceed through the work zones with caution, and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

    The following restrictions are in place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, and Wednesday, Sept. 8, as ADOT crews perform maintenance work to the roadway:

    • SR 89A will be restricted to one lane with alternating north- and southbound travel from milepost 390 to 399.
    • Drivers should be prepared to stop.
    • Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone.

    The following restrictions are in place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, through Friday, Sept. 10, as forest crews perform trail rehabilitation and maintenance:

    • North- and southbound SR 89A will experience intermittent lane closures of 10 to 15 minutes from milepost 382 to 383 and from milepost 385 to 386.
    • Drivers should be prepared to stop.
    • A vehicle width limit of 12 feet will be in place.
    • Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone.
