Learn how the NICD, established after the tragic Tucson shooting that killed six people and wounded former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, now works nationwide to encourage elected officials to collaborate more, media to inform citizens accurately, and the public to engage more with their government. Come to OLLI’s Lunch and Learn, an enjoyable, informative, free weekly community event held on Wednesday, April 24, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. in room 34 of Yavapai College’s Sedona Center (on Cultural Park Place, across Rt. 89A from Red Rock High School). Bring your lunch and drink at 12:30 or purchase lunch at the Sedona Center’s Sedona Café. For more information, call OLLI at 928-649-4275.
