Prescott, Arizona — The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Yavapai College invites the community to an engaging Open House on Wed. Aug. 12 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Prescott Valley Center, 3800 N. Glassford Hill Road.
This free event is an opportunity for adults aged 50 and better to meet facilitators, discover upcoming classes, and explore all that OLLI has to offer in Prescott Valley.
“The programs offered through OLLI at our various Yavapai Colleges and centers is a great way for members of the community to learn from others and to teach others what they know, but it’s also a wonderful way to residents to forge friendships, seek community, and encounter different perspectives,” said Yavapai College Acting President Dr. Doug Berry.
Starting Aug. 24, OLLI will offer a robust lineup of engaging, non-credit classes designed to stimulate the mind and spark new friendships. OLLI’s upcoming classes in Prescott Valley include Estate Planning, Impactful but Little-Known Women in U.S. History, Foreign Films, Wellness in a Changing World, and Beginning Quilling (a lovely craft using coiled paper) among others. Classes are all offered by volunteer facilitators who are members of OLLI.
Whether you’re a returning member or new to OLLI, the Open House is a perfect chance to ask questions, meet the team, and register for fall classes in person.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Yavapai College is a vibrant community of learners aged 50 and over who enjoy exploring new ideas, developing new skills, and building friendships through classes and shared interests. There are no tests, grades, or pressure—just the joy of learning.
