Sedona, Az — A collaboration of local organizations committed to peaceful protest is sponsoring a No Kings community march and rally in Sedona on Saturday, October 18th. The local march is one of an estimated 2500 happening around the nation speaking out against actions by theTrump administration and the Republican led Congress. This will be a gathering of people peacefully exercising their 1st Amendment rights.
Sedona marchers will come together at 10 am at the corner of Rt. 89A and Sunset Road. They will then proceed to Soldier Pass Road and back to Jack Jameson Memorial Park on Northview Avenue for a brief rally.
Protesters are calling for Congress to safeguard affordable healthcare, spend funds that have been appropriated, and to stop the illegal invasion of American cities by masked troops. Marchers are protesting the overreach of the Trump administration, and the politicization of the Federal Government and government aid.
Local groups supporting the protest include: After the March Indivisible, Indivisible Sedona, Democrats of the Red Rocks, Sedona Women’s March, Verde Valley Democrats, Camp Verde Indivisible, Rural Organizing Initiative, Indivisible Rimrock, and Indivisible Cottonwood, Cornville and Clarkdale. This coalition is known as Verde Valley United.
Hundreds of participants are expected. There will be interview opportunities with organizers and participants before, during, and after the event.
A core principle behind all No Kings protests nationwide is a commitment to peaceful, nonviolent action.

Should be titled “No Tyrants March.” There are Kings like Charles and the King of Thailand who are just symbolic figureheads with little to no real power. Trump wants to be a King so let’s make him one (figuratively) and get our Presidency and Democracy back on track (Literally) and out of the stranglehold of MAGA fascist Tyrants. This way King Numb Nuts can have his gold gilded parades funded by grifting the masses while the rest of the country can return to a sense of normality and decency vs hate, crime and ignorance!

Dummy Sonny W could’ve been granted a Nobel for successfully taking out Osama (one of Ronny Raygun’s old Cold War pals and Bush Family friend) and Al Qaeda had he not decided to manufacture evidence of WMD’s and their imminent threat at the hands of Saddam, declared an “End to the War” that was just beginning, started an illegal war upon Iraq and drag us into a global war against ISIL/ISIS rather than focusing upon Osama and Al Qaeda.
