Yavapai County News – MATFORCE, a primary prevention organization with a focus on stopping youth drug use before it starts, continues the MATFORCE Messages virtual learning series through the summer with a presentation from Parent Action Network. This month, Crissy Groenewegen, with Parent Action Network, will discuss a grassroots program that helps raise the voice of families who have been negatively impacted by the legalization and commercialization of marijuana.
July’s presentation, titled, “Parent Action Network: Amplifying Family Voices” will be held virtually on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The Parent Action Network (PAN) is a grassroots initiative of Smart Approaches to Marijuana that seeks to raise the voices of families who have been negatively impacted by the legalization and commercialization of marijuana, especially today’s high-potency products.
Their mission is to equip these families with the tools and resources they need to tell their stories in an effective way that encourages legislators to enact changes to ineffective drug policies and regulations. PAN is a diverse group of parents with one goal in common – to make sure no one else endures the devastating experiences these families have.
Registration is required for this free virtual presentation. For more information or to register visit matforce.org or call (928) 708-0100.
