Sedona, AZ – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to partner with The Artists Consortium to present the first-ever in-person Master Musicians Symposium on Friday, Sept. 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

Sedona’s been waiting for this!  Our local, popular and widely acclaimed Master Musicians are convening together on stage to play their unique instruments, share their “aha moment’ when music enriched their lives to the point when they decided to go professional, exchange info about their careers, and why Sedona is their ART MECCA.  It’s a first-ever gig that you won’t want to miss!

Famed, award-winning musicians and recording artists will share their instruments, motivation and personal learning experiences, as well as their vision for the future music market given the emergence of artificial intelligence.

Moderator Shondra Jepperson will lead the panel of musicians, including Michael Kollwitz, Patrick Ki, John Dumas, Logan Paytosh, David Key and Chris Counelis.

    Michael Kollwitz

Michael Kollwitz plays the Chapman Stick®, a 12-string oddity that sounds like a full band and looks like it came from NASA.

    Patrick Ki

Virtuoso Patrick Ki’s passion for smooth instrumental music can be traced back to his roots growing up on the Windward side of O’ahu. Although formally trained with jazz and classical music degrees, his melodic style has always been influenced by the sounds of the Hawaiian slack key guitar.

    John Dumas

An internationally renowned musician, shamanic astrologer, inspirational teacher, and pioneer in sound healing. He performs concerts, leads workshops and retreats internationally with his unique handcrafted flutes and didgeridoos.

    Logan Paytosh

Logan has dedicated over 20 years to the love and play of drums, percussion and music, studying/performing with many styles and professionals.

    David Key

David is a fabulous guitarist, singer and band leader. He also is a nonprofit executive dedicated to serving the small business community of Arizona with a focus on sustainable growth and innovation. He currently serves as the President & CEO of the Greater Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau.

    Chris Counelis

The man known only as Counelis is a highly accomplished and versatile saxophonist with credits too many to list, and an alleged former intelligence officer based in Sedona, AZ.  He is wanted by Interpol but alleges he cannot be caught and is impossible to kill. He is available for concerts, clubs, weddings, private parties, and corporate bookings.

    Shondra Jepperson

A Julliard School of Drama Alumni is an award-winning composer, singer, actor, and voice over artist with 49 years of performance credits in the entertainment industry. Besides acting credits, Shondra’s starred in her own shows and concerts in Vegas, Reno, tours across the USA, Canada, Mexico, including on popular cruise lines.

The Master Musicians Symposium will be held at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Friday, Sept. 19 at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $10. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177.
