Sedona News – Have you heard of macular degeneration? Learn about this common eye condition at The Sedona Women (“TSW”) program on January 12, 2022 at 10:00a.m. via Zoom. Sedona Optometrist Dr. Kendra Ivy will describe the latest science on this condition and discuss how to keep macular degeneration at bay.
Macular degeneration is the leading cause of vision loss among people 50 years and older in the U.S. It can affect the central vision needed for reading and driving and may significantly impact independence. Dr. Kendra Ivy will discuss the causes, symptoms and latest treatments during this important eye health discussion.
Dr. Ivy was a member of the first graduating class of Sedona Red Rock. She later earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Health through Northern Arizona University and graduated with honors from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. She is the daughter of fellow local Optometrist Dr. Serge Wright and his wife Kathy and has joined Dr. Wright at his Sedona practice.
