Sedona News – The city of Sedona Sustainability Department, in collaboration with Volunteer Sedona & the Verde Valley (VSVV), will host a free Volunteer Expo to connect interested community members to available volunteer opportunities, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Hub at Posse Grounds Park, located at 525-B Posse Grounds Road.
The Volunteer Expo aims to:
- Promote local nonprofit organizations – the event will showcase dozens of local non-profit organizations (see below for a sampling of organizations that will be at the event) seeking individuals ready for meaningful volunteer opportunities.
- Facilitate volunteer recruitment – provide direct engagement opportunities for volunteers to meet community organizations and learn about their missions.
- Encourage community networking – the event partners aim to foster connections between nonprofit organizations, community leaders and potential volunteers in Sedona and the Verde Valley, strengthening collaborative efforts for positive community impacts.
Participating organizations that will be at the expo include Humane Society of Sedona, Sedona Community Center, Keep Sedona Beautiful, city of Sedona, Greater Sedona Chamber of Commerce, Wheel Fun, ECO Farms, Steps to Recovery Homes, Gardens for Humanity and Slide Rock State Park –just to name a few.
“This event will hopefully inspire new volunteer engagement by being a valuable opportunity for Sedona organizations to highlight the incredible work they do and connect with locals who are eager to make a difference,” said AmeriCorp VISTA Amy Wright.
“We are thrilled to provide this platform where local organizations and community members can come together in support of a stronger, more sustainable Sedona and Verde Valley,” said Executive Director of VSVV Spring Graf.
