    Sedona Music Classes Offered

05022011SedonaLogoSedona, AZ (July 6, 2011) – Sedona Parks and Recreation is pleased to offer two unique workshops for those in our community who are interested in learning to play a musical instrument. Let Instructor Craig Coffman guide you through the steps of learning to play a guitar and a piano.

Some music teachers may not want you to know this, but you don’t need years of weekly lessons to learn piano. In just a few hours, you can learn enough secrets of the trade to give you years of musical enjoyment. How do we do it? While regular piano teachers teach note reading, piano professionals use chords. And, you can learn all the chords you’ll need to play any song in this one session. Any song. Any style. Any key. If you can find middle C and know the meaning of “Every Good Boy Does Fine”, you already know enough to enroll in this workshop. The Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People workshop will be held Thursday, July 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Sedona Teen Center located in Posse Grounds Park, 525-B Posse Ground Road in Sedona. The $25 registration fee must be paid in advance by registering with Parks and Recreation. In addition, there is a $28 materials fee for the workbook and practice DVD collected in class by the instructor. Everything covered in class is also covered on this DVD, which is designed for home practice and study.

Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar but simply find it difficult to find the time? In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won’t have to take private lessons to do it. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Bring your acoustic guitar along for the ride. The Instant Guitar for Hopelessly Busy People workshop will be held Friday, July 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Sedona Teen Center located in Posse Grounds Park, 525-B Posse Ground Road in Sedona. The $25 registration fee must be paid in advance at the Parks and Recreation office. The instructor will collect the $28 materials fee for the workbook and practice DVD in class. Everything covered in class is also covered on this DVD, which is designed for home practice and study.

For more information on the instructor and these workshops, please reference the website www.justonceclasses.com. Both workshops can be registered for by contacting the Parks and Recreation office at 928-282-7098 or by walking in at 102 Roadrunner Drive in Sedona.
