    Husband kills Wife – Turns himself in

    Yavapai County Sheriff's OfficeCottonwood AZ (July 7, 2020) – On July 4, 2020, around 3 PM, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Cottonwood Police Department that 64-year-old Donald Scott turned himself in after admitting he killed his wife at their Black Canyon City home the day before. Deputies went to the home in the 34000 block of Desert Cove and found a deceased woman inside. The evidence observed at the scene corresponded with the story offered by the suspect.

    The homicide victim is identified as 53-year-old Michelle Scott, who is the suspect’s wife. The weapon involved was a knife and has been recovered. Scott claimed ongoing marital disputes over the last several months led to the deadly assault on Friday evening (July 3, 2020).

    Scott was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on a charge of 1st Degree murder and is being held without bond.
