Sedona, AZ – October 1, 2026 – Costumes, canines, and plenty of Halloween fun are returning to Tlaquepaque this October as the Humane Society of Sedona hosts its 6th annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Parade on Sunday, October 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Presented in partnership with Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village and BowWow Sedona, Howl-O-Ween brings together dogs and their people for a festive morning of creative costumes, community fun and friendly competition, all while supporting animals in need at the Humane Society of Sedona.
Participants are encouraged to dress up their dogs, themselves or the whole family and compete for prizes in three costume categories. This year’s costumes will be judged by a panel of local guest judges: Sedona Mayor-elect Brian Fultz; Ken Rowe of Rowe Fine Art Gallery; and Dr. Audrey Yank, shelter veterinarian at the Humane Society of Sedona.
Prizes will be awarded in three categories:
- Doggone Cutest
- Craziest Canine
- Leaders of the Pack (Group Costume)
The winner of each category will receive a $100 prize.
The parade will begin at Calle Independencia at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village and make its way to Tlaquepaque North, creating plenty of opportunities for spectators to cheer on Sedona’s best-dressed pups along the route.
The fun doesn’t stop with the costume contest. The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle, Humane Society of Sedona merchandise, fun photo ops, swag bags for registered participants and a few Halloween surprises along the way.
Registration is $20 per entry, with proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of Sedona and its work providing shelter, medical care and second chances to animals in need.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, and day-of registration will also be available. Registered participants should arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. for check-in before the parade begins at 10:00 a.m.
