Sedona News – Join the Sedona Camera Club for a presentation by professional photographer Kristy Velesko.   The meeting starts at 6:00 pm on Monday,  September 30, 2024, at Christ Lutheran Church, 25 Chapel Road, Sedona.  Doors open at 5:30.

Owner and operator of Kristy Velesko Photography in Peoria, AZ, Kristy started her business in 2013 and specializes in creative fine art.

Kristy will discuss using AI techniques, her perspective on how tools in Photoshop and beyond have helped her increase her workflow and creativity,  all while navigating the challenges and controversies of AI.

She will show how to maximize the tools that technology has brought to her work and her plans for pushing the envelope moving forward.  These techniques can be used in all areas of photography including landscape, wedding, family, and personal work.  She will touch on programs like Photoshop Lightroom, Midjourney and Chat Gpt.

With the encouragement and support of her family, photography clients, and community Kristy focuses her career on cultivating her style and visual storytelling to create immersive images that transport viewers to somewhere they have not been before.  She hopes her art makes viewers feel, dream, and yearn to explore.

Throughout her life Velensko has taken the path less traveled and takes the same approach to her art, always trying to find a new and different way to look at things.  Finding inspiration from a song lyric or quote from a book, even a dream the night before, she loves bringing these images to life.  Her favorite place to be is at home with a good book and her family or on the road exploring, hiking, and seeing the world. The travel bug bites very often – Kristy loves meeting new people and creating new environments, each backdrop with a new story to tell.

She has photographed over a hundred weddings and many more family/portrait sessions. These valued relationships with her clients have helped her to fund her creative soul and made it possible for her to open her own photography studio, This is where she lets her mind soar and creates many new art pieces along with some unique client sessions.
