    Verde Valley AZ (June 13, 2019) – UPDATE – During an operation in Glendale Arizona, members of The Arizona Division of United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force were able to locate and apprehend Fugitive Seth Backus.  Backus was arrested in the late morning hours of June 12th in the area of 61st avenue and Olive in Glendale and was taken into custody without incident.  Backus will now not only face the repercussions of his probation violation warrant, but several other charges he has accumulated while he was on the run.  This is another example of the great job our men and women in law enforcement are doing to make our streets and neighborhoods safer!

    Verde Valley AZ (June 6, 2019) – UPDATE – Fugitive Seth Backus is now wanted on four additional warrants out of Yavapai County.  Backus is now wanted for Burglary in the first degree, Felony Theft and Misconduct Involving Weapons all stemming from an incident occurring in September of 2018 in Yavapai County.  He is also wanted on an Aggravated Assault Charge stemming from a December 24, 2018 incident in which Backus injured a Yavapai County Detention Sergeant’s hand while fighting with detention staff.  

    Backus has stated he will not be taken back into custody and he is known to carry firearms.

    Once again, if you see Backus, do not approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.  Notify law enforcement.

    Verde Valley AZ (June 5, 2019) – Yavapai County Law Enforcement needs your help in locating Wanted Fugitive Seth Backus.  Backus was last known to be frequenting the Cottonwood, Cornville, Bridgeport and Camp Verde Areas.  He is wanted on a Probation Violation Warrant out of Gila County. On May 30th, Backus fled from police in the Cottonwood area and will be facing charges of Felony Flight and Felony Endangerment on top of the Felony no bond probation violation warrant.

    Backus is believed to be armed and dangerous.  If you know of his whereabouts, please do not approach him.  Notify Law Enforcement.

    Backus is a 30-year-old white male 6 feet one inch tall 230 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes.  He also has tattoos on his head which appear to be horns.

    If you provide information leading to Backus’ arrest, you could be eligible for a $500 reward.  If you have information, please call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or submit a tip at Yavapaisw.com.
