Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to join theaters around the world for a global theatrical event: “Waitress: The Musical” showing Dec. 7-11 at the Mary D. Fisher and Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatres.
We’ve baked up something from the heart! “Waitress: The Musical” brings the Tony-nominated, Broadway phenomenon to the big screen for five days only!
The acclaimed production stars composer-lyricist Sara Bareilles as Jenna Hunterson, a waitress and expert pie maker stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage. When a baking contest in a nearby county offers her a chance at escape, Jenna fights to reclaim a long-forgotten part of herself.
Through the support of her fellow waitresses and an unexpected romance, Jenna begins to find the courage to take a long-abandoned dream off the shelf. Waitress celebrates the power of friendship, dreams, the family we choose and the beauty of a well-baked pie.
“Waitress: The Musical” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher and Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatres Dec. 7-11. Showtimes are Thursday, Dec. 7 at 4:00 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 8 at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9 and 10 at 6:30 p.m.; and Monday, Dec. 11 at 3:30 p.m.
