”Hamnet” — starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal — is a historical drama exploring the emotional, familial, and artistic consequences of the death of Shakespeare’s 11-year-old son, Hamnet, in 1580s England. The film focuses on his mother, Agnes, as she navigates grief while her husband, William, copes by writing Hamlet.

The film also stars Emily Watson and Joe Alwyn.

“Hamnet” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher and Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatres Feb. 13-19. Showtimes will be Friday, Feb. 13 at 3:30 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 15 at 3:30 and 7:00 p.m.; Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 16, 17 and 18 at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Feb. 19 at 4:00 p.m.

We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
